In spite of being denied entry into this years Burning Man with my Mercedes Pens Art Car for not being "mutant" enough, I will post this video about mutant vehicles on the playa. These Mutant Vehicles are amazing and wonderful and a big thumbs up for all who make them possible. The time and dedication that goes into these creations is commendable. On the other hand being denied entry by the "DMV Hotties" probably was a blessing in disguise because I was able to:
1) Not have to go into debt to finance the trip and entry into Burning Man
2) Not have to look at naked people
3) Not have my bike stolen
4) Not have to use a portable toilet
5) Not have to deal with yahoos (of the obnoxious variety)
6) Not have to eat dust
7) Not have to spend a month cleaning my art car
Overall I stayed home, had fun, took lots of showers, got lots of rest, spend valuable time with my family and my car wasn't ruined by playa dust. If your like me and have had enough with "burn-a-man-ia" you might find this article called 10 Things I Hate About Burning Man a good read. I also found another event called Burning Toast Man, that might be the answer to the Burning Man dilemma.
i'm sorry they didn't let you take your Mercedes Pens Art Car. For what its worth i think it is the most brilliant car ever!

So you wonder why you weren't issued a dmv license from Burning man. Did they mention that creativity usually is needed. Your car is wack, everyones got a glue gun and something dumb to stick on their cars. Its not 1997 anymore, your mutant car needs more than glue and cds, tapes, g.i. joes, cameras, toys or unicorns on it to be mutant and able to drive around the desert legally. All the old lazy uncreative burners have tried to do the same gimmick as you. Car+glue= never having to ride a bike again. And its art.WOW so interactive. Your type of car was everywhere 15 years ago, now people step it up a little bit more on their mutant vehicles. I really hope that you decided to stay home and blog when your 'art car' was denied. They wanted you to come to the party, just not your unmutated car. So it should be said that they didn't deny you entry, just your wack cars entry. You could have still gone and rode a bike or caught a ride on thousands of vehicles that were mutated but because they were over your car you stayed on the internet at home. Thank you, most citiots can't hang with the no money and having to deal with your own garbage thing. Their mercedes aren't usually as cool in the desert.
ReplyDeleteHi Gordon, did I fail mention in the title that Burning Man vehicles rock?:):):) I don't have anything against the amazing BM mutant vehicles which are amazing and wonderful. That is why I include them as part of art car central. I just don't want to deal with points 1 - 7, that's all. And since I drive my car every day I don't need a week to go drive my car in the middle of points 1-7.
